Fiore: Dagger: 8th Master: 4th Play (Fol 17v)
8th Master — 4th Play (Fol 17v)
Section: Fiore: Dagger
Source Text and Drawing

This cover that I do in this way with the arms crossed, is good in armour and out of armour. My play is to put this player in the low lock, thus that which is called the strong key, in the one that is said by the scholar that is before me, thus in the sixth play of the third King that plays with the right hand on the backhand side. And this play is done similarly to the one that is the first that is before me, even though it is done in a different way. And our counter is to push the elbow.
