6th Master — 8th Play (Fol 16v)

Section: Fiore: Dagger

Source Text and Drawing

Even though I am placed after the counter to the Sixth play I should really be before him, because I am a scholar, and this play is one of his, thus of the Sixth master. And this play is worth more in armour than without armor, because I strike him in the hand, because that place cannot be well armoured, [and] because if one is unarmoured one would look to strike him in the face or the chest, or in a worse place.
