19th–20th Plays (Fol 30r)

System: Fiore: Longsword

Section: Fiore: Longsword: Zogho Stretto

Source Text and Drawing

This, the upper taking of the sword, with the handle of my sword I push forwards and with my left hand I constrain his two arms in a way that makes him lose the sword. And then I mess him up with great blows. The scholar that is after me shows this play, how the sword of the player is put on the ground.

By the grip of the scholar before me I have made your sword fall to the ground, you can feel it. So I can strike you, without lying.
