This counter is very good in armour and without armour. And against any strong man it is so good to cover with, from below as much as from above. And this play enters into the middle lock, thus into the third play of the first King and remedy of dagger. And if the said cover is done underarm, the scholar places the player in the low lock, thus in the strong key, that under the third King and remedy that plays on the backhand, his sixth play.
